Trust • Exposure • ProgressThe Road to the Pack

Confidence Coaching is a specialized walking service for reactive or fearful dogs. My goal is simple: to help your dog overcome their triggers and eventually graduate into our stable Playgroups.

Beyond Isolation

Just because a dog is reactive to cars, bikes, or people doesn’t mean they can’t have a social life. We just need to build the bridge to get them there.

The Step-by-Step Approach

1

The Acceptance

I take the time to let your dog get to know me in their safe space. No pressure, just building the trust needed for them to accept me as their leader.

2

Controlled Exposure

We start walking in quiet areas. Slowly, we introduce the “scary” things—bikes, cars, or people—at a distance where your dog feels safe.

3

Pack Graduation

As confidence grows, we move toward neutral social interactions. The ultimate goal? Joining the regular Playgroup pack.

Focused Neutrality

We don’t avoid the world; we learn to exist within it calmly. Every walk is a confidence-boosting mission.

Confidence FAQ

Every dog is unique. Some accept me in 20 minutes; others need a couple of quiet home visits before they feel safe enough to walk with me. I never rush this—trust is the foundation of everything we do.

That is always the goal! While every dog’s ceiling is different, most dogs significantly improve their social skills through this structured exposure. Once I feel they are ready, we will attempt a controlled integration into the pack.

I work with dogs who react to other dogs, people, bikes, cars, and loud environmental noises. If your dog cannot currently handle a normal group walk, this is the correct starting point for them.
